Random thoughts

So many of my friends are going away on fun trips or going out West to work. Poor Briggins is stuck in Halifax for another 4 months. I'm going to try to go to Boston in September to see the Chargers and Patriots play a big football game. I just want to stand among those (insert not nice word here) Patriot fans and scream my lungs off cheering for LT and crew with my Chargers jersey on.

And finally a good artist in their prime is coming to Halifax that isn't:
a). An artist whose concert will consist of 13 year and below girls and boys screaming (Hillary Duff, Avril Lavigne)
b). Has band members who should be in retiring homes (the Rolling Stones)
c.)Here to play one song at a crappy awards show (Coldplay)
d.) Canadian. (Okay some bands like OLP and Sam Roberts band are good, but where is the Arcade Fire and other popular Canadian acts?)

So who is this band? The answer is the White Stripes. I'm not their biggest fan, but I am a fan for sure. I know they put on a good show too. Jack White likes the 'feel' of a concert so they don't have a planned set list, they just play the show as it goes.
