Anybody can make a two and a half minute long song with generic sounds that will grab the attention of mass audiences on public radio. But to release a song that is over seven minutes long takes some skill. Well anybody can make a long song, but making a song that keeps your attention for over seven minutes is no small feat in this day and age of lightening quickness.
