head full of feathers

I really enjoyed having Monday off since that meant that I did not have to be at DAL for 12 hours today! It also meant I could stay out at Ryan's last night and watch the Colts and Chargers football game which was quite the thriller. Both of us were on edge as the score kept getting closer and closer. Finally with a little under 2 minutes the Colts had a chance to put the game away but by some miraculous force Adam Vinateri missed a 29 yard field goal attempt and the Chargers held on to win 23-21. Ryan promptly went to bed in disgust while I slept with my Chargers jersey on because I was just so happy. Who would have thunk that Manning would throw a whopping six interceptions.

And on a different note.....

I am putting up a video of a song that I've been listening to non-stop the past few days. Some people have singers sing songs to them in a dream and that makes it special for them. For me it took an acoustic version on a beautiful hill to love the song. The lyrics in it are genius.

Faust ARP

One two three four

Wakey wakey
rise and shine
it's on again, off again, on again
watch me fall
like dominos
in pretty patterns
fingers in the blackbird pie
I'm tingling, tingling, tingling
it's what you feel now
what you ought to, what you ought to
reasonable and sensible
dead from the neck up
because I'm stuffed, stuffed, stuffed
we thought you had it in you
but no, no, no
for no real reason

Squeeze the tubes and empty bottles
and take a bow, take a bow, take a bow
it's what you feel now
what you ought to, what you ought to
an elephant that's in the room is
tumbling, tumbling, tumbling
in duplicate and triplicate and
plastic bags and
duplicate and triplicate
dead from the neck up
I guess I'm stuffed, stuffed, stuffed
we thought you had it in you
but no, no, no
exactly where do you get off
is enough, is enough
I love you but enough is enough, enough
a last stop
there's no real reason

You've got a head full of feathers
you got melted to butter

Faust Arp is beautiful, and gentle, and so very flickering... I really really like this song.
And the webcast was amazing, I'm really happy I was awake that night.
